A Journey Through Love, Loss, and Light

Soul Companions are not just witnesses — they are the bearers of light, guiding us through the darkness. They recognize the light that dwells within us and help us unfold it. They accompany not only others but also themselves. The light they carry illuminates their own shadows. On their journey of self-discovery, they transform their shadows into light. This light is the foundation of their work.

Join me on my journey, which was not only physical but also spiritual. A journey through love, loss, and the light of the ancestors.

In mid-October, an inner urge, a quiet calling of my soul: “Visit your aunt in Salzburg.” She is the keeper of stories I do not yet know, and I wanted to see her while her light still shines clearly. But this journey became more than just a visit. It was a ritual of transition. The evening before my departure, I sensed that something great would happen. My heart knew before my mind understood.

The Quiet Voice of the Soul

The evening before my departure to Salzburg, I heard the quiet voice of my soul: “Visit your aunt.” She is the keeper of stories I do not yet know. I wanted to see her while her light still shines clearly. This voice is often quiet, but it is never wrong. It is the light that guides us, even when we do not understand it immediately.

In that moment, I wept softly and told my husband that I actually did not want to go right now. He was surprised, as I am usually full of anticipation before heading to Salzburg, to the place where my ancestors lived.

That evening, my cousin sent me a text message. Her father, my aunt's husband, 95 years old and still living at home, had been taken to the hospital due to a bladder infection. I read the message only on Tuesday morning, just before my departure.

The following day, after my arrival, I visited my aunt and enjoyed the clear moments, the hearty laughter, the connection. In the late afternoon, after much hesitation, I visited my uncle, together with my cousin.

The Ritual of Transition

I hesitated for a long time, as I was unsure if it was necessary to visit him. Yet, my inner voice whispered that this visit would not just be a visit, but a holy ritual of transition.

After a deep breath, my cousin and I entered my uncle's room. We found him asleep in his hospital bed, breathing heavily. In that moment, I realized that he was preparing for the transition.

We greeted him. I also placed my hand on his and softly spoke that Christina from Switzerland was visiting. With each breath, his whole being calmed. The light in him became visible, and I recognized that I was not only meeting him as a relative but as a bearer of light.

During this process, I looked at him, not the decaying body but the light that had found its home in this body for 95 years. In that moment, I was given a brief glimpse of it shining like a bright star within him. So brief and gentle, yet so powerful. Incredibly beautiful. I had not told anyone about this until now. I needed time to accept it.

Yet there was also my cousin, who had just learned of her father's farewell. Together, we planned for the next morning, hoping to bring her mother to him so they could say goodbye. But we didn’t have time for that; he passed away the next day in the early morning hours.

Fate or Divine Guidance?

Was this divine guidance or did I follow an inner calling?

The answer lies in intuition — the inner voice that reveals itself as the expression of the Divine within us. I knew that my presence made his transition more peaceful.

What I experienced and perceived touched something very deep within me. Can I accept it?

The Echo of the Ancestors

The ancestors represent not only the past but also grant us the opportunity to change the future. The ancestors not only tell their story but also pave the way for the next generation.

Days later, an old sorrow surfaced within me. When I was seven months pregnant, my mother died. This old sorrow echoes in me. It shows itself to me now to be healed.

Letting go of my mother, followed shortly by birth, letting go of my daughter. And now letting go of my daughter into the vast world. Two years ago, a storm already swept over me and still resonates.

So, I listen to the echo of the ancestors and give myself the space to grieve, even if it was 24 years ago. May this process grant me inner peace to be present as a mother for my daughter, the light bearer.

Remembering the Light Within Us All

I share this experience not only to teach but to remind — of the light that dwells in us all, even in the face of farewell. May our light illuminate the darkness that surrounds us.

Personal Insight

I am a soul companion. Every encounter is an opportunity to pass on the light. My light is not only for others — it is also for me. I am here to remind that we are all bearers of light, even in the face of farewell. May our light illuminate the darkness and transform the shadows into peace.

Quiet Insights that Bring Great Change

It is always fascinating how our journeys through life change our perceptions through loss and farewell, how everything, even if very subtly, is interconnected.

How do you reflect on your experiences?

Let us explore together how much light awaits to shine brighter within us all.
